What happens if I have a break-in overnight?
Our shop insurance policies are backed-up with a 24hr claims line, which can be accessed seven days a week. Cover is also included for the replacement of locks up to £25,000 (£2,500 maximum per claim). This will give you peace of mind and ensure that your premises are made secure as quickly as possible.
I have a high value of stock within the property; is there a limit to the value I can cover?
Our shop insurance is tailored to the needs of our customers, so if you have a high value of stock we will have an insurer on our panel willing to cover it. We also make allowances for seasonal increases of stock up to 25%, during the festive period and around Bank Holidays.
What happens if an employee steals from me?
You can select Theft By Employees on the shop insurance policy as an optional extension, which will then cover you for up to £5,000 of loss.
I often collect goods from the local cash & carry; will they be covered in my van?
Goods In Transit is a standard cover on our shop insurance policy that cover your goods whilst in transit up to £2,500 (with the option to increase), as well as overnight in the vehicle. We will also provide cover for your personal affects in the vehicle up to £500 and extend your liabilities whilst you are away from your property.
